From Fashion to Frequency: Malvika’s Debut Single Love Is A Game Is Pure Atmosphere

I must say, it feels like it's been a while since a debut single came across my proverbial desk. I often wonder how a musician chooses the song to introduce themselves to the world. It just seems like such a big decision. Forgive my little soapbox moment, though, and allow me to introduce you to Love Is A Game, the first offering from Los Angeles-based newcomer Malvika.

A masterful blend of electro-pop and dance, with elements of R&B thrown into the mix too, Love Is A Game pours out from the speakers into your very soul. It's deeply immersive, and Malvika's honeyed vocals glide effortlessly over the glossy production. Sleek, layered, and expertly pieced together, it's a genuinely spectacular opening statement.

Known primarily as a fashion creator with a unique, vibrant, and culturally rich style inspired by her Indian heritage, Malvika has seamlessly channelled that same boldness and colour into her debut single. A trained Bharata Natyam dancer to boot, her transition to music seems like a natural extension of her creative journey, and I cannot wait to hear what she offers up next.
